Essential for the proper monitoring of oil quality in aircraft lubrication systems, these debris monitors will provide early warning of an impending mechanical failure.

Chip Collectors

These devices are simple magnetic plugs that collect ferrous debris for visual monitoring. These are the most common type of debris monitor on commercial aircraft. They can be supplied with or without self closing valves.

Chip Detectors

These devices also use a permanent magnet to attract ferrous debris. Sufficient debris accumulation bridges the gap between two electrodes. This continuity results in an alert to the fault monitoring system. Numerous features such as fuzz burning or temperature monitoring can be incorporated into these devices.
